Messages from the Beloved The Beloved is a name for the Divine found in the devotional tradition of many religions. The Beloved is found in the poetry of the Sufi master Rumi, in the Song of Solomon, in the bhajans of Mirabai and in many religions. The Beloved appears when we approach the Divine with complete devotion, rapture and ecstatic joy, and the Beloved helps us to move past our fears into the space where all is only love and only can be love. In this event, Olivia Stewart will be giving a brief talk on the Beloved, read from Rumi, Mirabai and the Song of Solomon, and then channel the Beloved to answer your questions. Meeting the Beloved Throughout all religious traditions, there is a devotional tradition where the devotee sees the Divine as the Beloved, the greatest source of love and the greatest desire in the world. The Sufi poets wrote of it, as did Saint Teresa of Avila. There is an entire yogic tradition, bhakti yoga, focused on devotion to the Divine. Connecting with the Divine as Beloved is about opening the heart and feeling fully alive as a spiritual, material, and creative being in this world and about bringing the love of the Divine into a living presence within you. The energy of the Beloved is ready to fill the world as we transition to merge heaven and earth, and meeting the Divine as Beloved and opening yourself to the energy of the Beloved is a blessing to the world. In this workshop, we learn about the nature of the Beloved, how to discern the energy of the Beloved, and various methods including chant, movement, writing and art for connecting with the Beloved. Finally, we will practice channeling the Beloved to increase our vibration and to receive messages for ourselves and others.
