Rochelle D. Spiker, Cht, LCSW-C
Rochelle
has been a successful National Capitol area based
psychotherapist since 1984. She has extensive experience working with
racial, sexual, and religious minority groups. She has also been active
as a Consumer Advocate. As a widow, she is personally empathetic regarding
the bereaved, and experienced regarding end of life issues.
Throughout her career, Rochelle has been weaving together spiritual and clinical knowledge and practice. Rochelle recieved her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland in College Park in 1978. In the early 1980's she was initiated into Holistic Health practices by her friend and mentor, the late Kevin Andreae, founder of PMTI. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from The Catholic University of America in 1984. She remains a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She studied Guided Imagery at Bryn Mawr College and Creative Visualization under Shakti Gawain in the 1990's, and has utilized this for individuals and groups ever since. Rochelle completed two years of metaphysical study in the ministerial program at The Institute for Spiritual Development, under the guidance of the Rev. James Debiasio, from 1994-1996. In 2005 she received training in the Kabbalah through The Center for Spirituality and Integral Social Work at Catholic University.
During
the Summer of 2009, Rochelle successfully completed Certification in Hypnotherapy at HypnosisMaryland, under the instruction of Laura West,
MCht, and is recognized by and is a member of the International Medical
and Dental Hypnotherapy Association.
Rochelle is guided by the spiritual teachings of Lao Tzu, Paramahansa
Yogananda, Jesus, Gautama Buddha, and Rumi. Her lifetime goal is to attain
Enlightenment through helping others. Her latest epiphany is: "The
Kingdom, Power, and Glory of the Divine are forever made manifest through
the Diversity of Creation".

Appointments
